Evangelical Free Church of Tampere

A warm welcome to The Evangelical Free Church in Tampere, Tampereen Vapaakirkkoseurakunta! We have people of over 10 different nationalities, and all of us have been very blessed by this variety. The church was founded over 100 years ago and belongs to the Evangelical Free Church of Finland.

Visit us

Our main services are on Sundays at 11.00 and are held at the main church hall in Puutarhakatu 17, 33210 Tampere. You are warmly welcome to join us, get connected and also to find out more of the different ministries that the Church has e.g. children´s and youth ministries. Our focus is really to be a family in Christ that everyone feels welcome to become a part of. The services are interpreted simultaneously from Finnish into English over wireless headphones.

Alpha Course

What is Alpha?
Alpha is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in an informal, fun and friendly environment. The Alpha course consists of a series of talks, looking at topics including ‘Who is Jesus?’ and ‘Why and how do I pray?’, with the option of a day away. We meet for supper and each talk is followed by discussion in small groups. To find out more visit alpha.org

Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for everyone; no serious question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. We don’t assume any background, knowledge of, or belief in Christianity and everyone is welcome.

The Marriage Course

A brand new Marriage Course experience

We have released a brand-new reimagined series of The Marriage Course and The Pre-Marriage Course, with new teaching content, creative short films, global stories, sofa couples, and expert insights – all hosted by Nicky & Sila Lee. There are also updated Leaders’ Guides, Guest Journals, promotional materials, and training videos – as well as a new online platform where you can download the series and build your own Marriage or Pre-Marriage Course for your community.
